Gathering Elite Talent to Create the ‘Most Powerful Brain’ in R&D

W&Q's R&D team comprises over 10 PhDs, over 20 masters, and over 10 industry-leading experts, forming a ‘dream team’ in the field of fine chemicals. W&Q's team members specialise in diverse disciplines including materials chemistry, chemical engineering, and biotechnology, fostering an innovative ecosystem of interdisciplinary collaboration.
 
W&Q adheres to a ‘problem-oriented’ R&D philosophy, directly addressing industry pain points. To solve the issues of impurities and acid root ions in catalysts, W&Q's team members spent half a year in the laboratory, undergoing over 200 experimental formula adjustments, ultimately developing cobalt carbonate with high density, small particle size, strong antioxidant properties, and high activity; W&Q also resolved the global challenge of high sulphate and sodium ion levels in nickel carbonate. 
 
The key challenge with molybdenum trioxide lies in its solubility. W&Q's products achieve optimal purity and solubility, and are widely applied in industries such as China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Shell, Rosneft, and Gazprom. 

State-of-the-art Equipment, Building Innovative ‘Hardcore Support’

W&Q has invested heavily in a modern research and development centre spanning over 5,000 square metres, equipped with internationally leading experimental and testing equipment, akin to installing a ‘super engine’ for research and innovation. In the materials synthesis laboratory, German-imported high-temperature, high-pressure reactors can simulate extreme conditions to optimise the performance of tungsten-molybdenum alloy materials; American high-precision X-ray diffractometers can precisely analyse the crystal structure of materials with an error accuracy of 0.001°, providing precise data support for improving the purity of rare earth products.
 
In the testing phase, a time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer (TOF-SIMS) can perform nanoscale component analysis on material surfaces, detecting even trace impurities as small as 0.01%; a fully automated intelligent testing assembly line enables 24/7 continuous testing, processing over 1,000 samples daily to ensure product quality consistency and reliability. Additionally, W&Q has introduced a digital R&D management system, which uses big data analysis to optimise experimental processes, reducing the R&D cycle by 30% and significantly improving innovation efficiency.

Technical Accumulation, Demonstrating Strength and ‘Deep-rooted Heritage’

Years of R&D investment and practical experience have enabled W&Q to develop strong technical capabilities and patent barriers. To date, W&Q has obtained over 80 national patents, covering multiple dimensions such as production processes, product formulations, and equipment innovations. In the cobalt product sector, W&Q's proprietary ‘multi-stage extraction - continuous crystallisation’ integrated process achieves cobalt purity of 99.999%, far exceeding national standards.
